I know you have all heard about our President’s latest accomplishment:

Today he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize which according to the Norwegian Nobel Committee is given “to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.”

He joins the only two other African-American men to recieve this award – Ralph J. Bunche in 1950, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1964. Not shabby company, and a truly Noble accomplishment!

Fraternity between nations – abolition or reduction of standing armies – holding and promotion of peace congresses, let’s pray that Nobel’s little gold coin encourages our President’s resolve to live out the principles this honor stands for.
